Role Overview
As our first formal Head of HR, you’ll partner closely with the CEO—enjoying full autonomy to recruit your team, define our culture, and implement end‑to‑end people systems.
You’ll own recruitment strategy, performance cycles, L&D, engagement, HR operations, and analytics—setting the gold standard for HR excellence.

What You’ll Do

You will:

  • Build & Lead a Best‑in‑Class HR Team
    • Architect the HR department structure; recruit and mentor direct reports
    • Develop policies, employee handbook, NDAs and contracts; ensure full compliance with Bangladesh labor laws
  • Drive Talent Acquisition
    • Design and execute recruitment strategies to meet growth objectives
    • Elevate employer brand through targeted campaigns, university partnerships and agency outreach
  • Design Performance & Development Systems
    • Implement annual KPI/performance‑evaluation frameworks and career ladders
    • Create individual development plans and succession pipelines; roll out training, coaching and leadership programs
  • Champion Culture & Engagement
    • Launch engagement activities, pulse surveys and structured onboarding
    • Manage grievance handling and conflict resolution; foster an inclusive, respectful workplace
  • Optimize HR Operations & Analytics
    • Select and deploy an HRIS (We currently use one local solution)
    • Track and report on metrics (turnover, cost‑per‑hire, engagement scores) to guide leadership decisions
  • Partner Strategically
    • Advise the executive team on organization design, change management and people strategy
    • Align HR initiatives with business goals, growth plans and culture priorities

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full‑spectrum HR experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record building an HR function from scratch in a high‑growth or startup environment
  • Deep expertise in Bangladesh labor laws and HR best practices
  • Hands‑on experience implementing HRIS and performance‑management systems
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder‑management skills

Nice‑to‑Have

  • SHRM‑CP, CIPD or equivalent certification
  • Experience in EdTech or technology‑driven recruitment platforms
  • Familiarity with agile, fast‑paced environments
