Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute SEO strategies to improve search rankings and website traffic.
- Research keywords and analyse competitors to find opportunities for growth.
- Optimize website content, including titles, descriptions, headings, and images, for better search performance.
- Fix technical SEO issues like page speed, mobile-friendliness, and website crawlability.
- Build and manage link-building strategies to improve website authority and rankings.
- Track and analyze SEO performance using tools and data.
- Work with content team to ensure blog posts, landing pages, and website copy are optimised for search engines.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in search engine algorithms and SEO trends.
- Prepare reports to show progress and suggest improvements based on data.
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 3+ years of experience in SEO.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, but not required if you have strong writing experience.
- Strong understanding of how search engines like Google work and what affects rankings.
- Experience with keyword research, on-page optimisation, off-page strategies, and technical SEO.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog.
- Ability to perform SEO audits and make improvements to boost rankings.
- Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and how websites get indexed by search engines.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to fix technical SEO issues.
- Experience optimizing content to match what users are searching for.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress is a plus.
